Honorable Land Dealers Association

Where reputation and fair dealing are as important as making a fast buck

Earlier this year, Sarah Nerd invited all the decent land dealers she knew to join her newly formed group, The Honorable Land Dealers Association. Although there are only nine members so far, (including JR Uknown who recently fell victim to the island scam) she has since opened membership to the public. Each member of the group is obligated to conduct business with integrity and receives the title, “Honorable Dealer.” When asked what prompted her to form the group, she replied,

“I think I was just fed up with a few groups I was in and invited all the decent dealers I knew to join. I have since made it open enrollment but if anyone is caught doing dirty business they get the boot!”

Sarah has considerable experience negotiating land transactions and was recently invited to participate in Selina Greene’s “Ask the Experts” series on Book Island. A transcript of the Q&A session. “Ask the Experts” is held on Book Island every Thursday at 4pm. When asked if she knew of any people who have recently been exploited by land scammers, she said that she knows a few people who were taken advantage of my land bots.

“They automatically buy land the second that it is set for sale below a certain price per meter. There’s one who preys on 1L land sales. So people set it for 1L to group it or to sell to a friend standing beside them and he buys and resells. Basically, they prey upon human error and it's not a TOS violation.

“From personal experience, I have found that treating people fairly has been the best way to do business. Although the type of people who use bots to get errors and spam dealers, and scam artists etc. may get a fast buck, it hurts them in the long run.
